All those interested in the issues of protocols and respect are welcome at the CIAF 2017 Artist Forum. The event is hosted by CQUniversity Cairns campus and features artists Judy Watson, Norman Miller, Karen Reys, in discussion with lawyer Leah Cameron.
Creative director and cultural communicator Rhoda Roberts will chair the forum, encouraging and coordinating debate between panellists and audience members.

Karen’s art works in mixed media and installation explore Aboriginal issues in a highly contemporary and conceptual manner. Karen gained a Bachelor of Arts (Art) & a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Healing Arts at Curtin University of Technology, Perth. She resumed a career in Indigenous education as an Associate Lecturer at Curtin University in 2004. She has recently returned home to Cairns to begin her practice as an Aboriginal artist.
Karen’s works are represented in the collection of the Berndt Museum of Anthropology at the University of Western Australia, and the City of Fremantle, Perth.
