Do you know Freedom? You have to know Freedom. It is the best thing in the World. It gives you energy. Everyone loves freedom. Freedom is the best. Freedom gives you energy. Hanging upside down with freedom in the air for you and me. Freedom coming in the air. Floating in the air. Freedom breaks your hate. Freedom is the best in the World. Freedom is the best song.” – Diana Wilson (6 years old)
The Freedom Flags – Rainbow Song Lines – is a new Dreaming. The new lore’s from the Dreaming teach us how to survive. The symbols and signs on the Freedom Flags are a new instrument in thinking, learning and understanding. A new way that is most needed in today’s society, environment and the world. Working with our Ancestors to create harmony, balance and unity in the Universe, the new lore’s are a new beginning of true Freedom and Peace that connect us back to the Earth and our Dreaming.
Our uniqueness, our language, our individual voices count as One. The new gift to us from our Ancestors and our Dreaming is the new time for all nations of all Indigenous people to stand together as One. Healing the land, healing our body, and healing our spirit bring people back to the land so that we can rejoice and be free as One. It’s about giving thanks for what the Creation has provided and moving forward together with hope and life in our hearts as One. This is our Ancestors blessing to us.
The dots are stars and constellations in the Sky. Dots that once come from the Earth transform into the Stars in the Heavens and form the Constellations in the Sky.
Everything is connected between the people, land and the sky. The Freedom Flags – Rainbow Song Lines are a new way of being, doing and seeing. They are a new life, new hope, new Earth, a new Dreaming for everyone. A pathway that can offer insight and create change in the individual and collective consciousness of Self and the World.
“The process of making art has helped me to understand my culture and Aboriginal Spirituality. It has helped me to understand me. It has helped me to feel Whole and to find my Sense of Place and Belonging. And from it has come Healing” – Karen Reys
